PROGRAMME
The health and safety of our staff
and visitors at our premises is one
of themost important priorities of
theGroup. Toensure thewell-being
and safety of these stakeholders,
CosmoSteel has implemented a
Health and Safety Management
Programme with the following
objectives:
• To improve safety in general
work operations by reducing
the frequency and severity rate
of accidents per million man
hours; and
• To reduce the percentage of
medical visits associated with
work by promoting healthy
life-style of employees.
Amongst many other initiatives,
the Group promotes health and
safety through regular in-house
and external training courses,
visual reminders and advocating
the use of proper personal
protection equipment. To promote
team spirit and a healthy lifestyle
among employees, CosmoSteel
encourages sport/recreational
activitiesbysigningup forcorporate
programmes with the Singapore
Sports Council.
In recognition of its strong quality,
health and safety focus, the Group
hasreceivednumerousworld-class
certificationsincludingISO9002:1994
in 2000; ISO 9001:2000 in 2003;
ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004
and OHSAS 18001:2007 in 2009,
